Sponsor change in your community.

When you donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Bay you are investing in a local child’s future.

We are a donor and volunteer supported organization that provides adult mentors to children in Marin, Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties who need caring role models in their lives - a friend, guide and supporter who can expand their horizons and get them on a lifelong path to success. 95% of our funding is raised locally, primarily from individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and events. Local County and City governments also support our work through small grants.

When you donate online to Big Brothers Big Sisters, you join our cause and directly support children in your community. No matter how little or big the amount, donating can start making a difference in the lives of young people around you.

Donating pays dividends

Research shows that our mentoring works. Children with a Big Brother or Big Sister show real differences in their personal and academic lives. They are more confident in their schoolwork performance, they get along better with their families and they’re 52% less likely to skip school.1

Your support goes far

Your donations directly support some 450 children in mentoring relationships in Marin, Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties. Unfortunatly, there are still 140 children on the waiting list.  We need your help to expand our outreach to provide mentors to these deserving children.

90% of youth we impact come from low income, single parent homes, have a parent deployed in the military, are in the foster care system or have an incarcerated parent. They have been referred to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Bay by a parent, guardian, teacher, therapist, counselor or social worker. For most, we provide the path to a positive life contributing to society. For each child, we provide a professional counselor that supports the volunteer, child and family throughout the relationship. The idea is simple but powerful. Be a friend, be a confidante, be a teacher – and most importantly, just be there.

It costs $2,000 to make and support a match for one year.  Your financial support allows us to recruit new Big Brother and Big Sister volunteers and match them with just the right child.
Your investment in our program is guaranteed to have positive returns.
