Making a difference, one child at a time
Community-Based Mentoring
The hallmark of our organization, this program matches carefully screened adult mentors (Bigs) with children in need (Littles) ages 6-17 on a one-to-one basis. Matches meet weekly and engage in activities that meet their interests. It's fun and rewarding! This is the chance to be a kid again, while making a positive impact on a child's life - and yours, too. Bigs generally pick the child up at his or her home and bring them back at the end of their outing. The most important thing is not what you do, but the time you spend together building friendship and trust, lending guidance and care to your Little. Click here to sign up now!

Site-Based Mentoring
School and After School Mentoring
For volunteers wanting to mentor a child, but looking for more structure, site-based mentoring offers the perfect opportunity. This program matches adult mentors (Bigs) with students (Littles) at two locations in San Rafael - Pickleweed Community Center and Venetia Valley School in Terra Linda. Our site-based mentors lend guidance and support, and serve as positive role models in a structured environment. In addition, Bigs help with projects and activities including homework, arts & crafts, cooking, yoga, and hip-hop. These sites allow you to be matched one-to-one with a Little either during the school hours (Venetia Valley School) or the after school hours (Pickleweed Community Center), depending on your availability. We have an active need to recruit more mentors to this program. Click here to sign up now!

Napa Juvenile Hall Mentoring Program
This unique program provides group mentoring services to youth housed at Napa County Juvenile Hall. Adult mentors serve as positive, caring role models and meet weekly with youth to lend guidance, affection and support. Napa Juvenile Hall mentors meet weekly from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday evenings.

Youth4Youth Mentoring
Youth4Youth matches high school students with elementary and middle school children at various after school sites under the supervision of program staff. Our high school mentors earn community service hours and help us reach more children in need. These Bigs help their Littles with homework, play games or sports, and simply hang out together. Youth4Youth programs occur weekly at each site from 3:30pm to 5:30pm during the school year Monday through Friday. Click here to sign up now! Please contact us with any questions.
